Commitment & Experience

Patrick Sweeney became fascinated with construction as a teenager and began designing and building decks for his parents’s friends in Westchester County. He went on to study architecture and construction technology in college, and, while still in school, started his first construction company producing commercial and residential work in Westchester County, NY and Fairfield County, CT. In the early ‘90s Sweeney Construction LLC was formed with a commitment to building high end residential homes and executing major remodeling projects. Patrick has collaborated most notably with architects Roger Bartels/Christopher Pagliaro, AIA and Joseph Matto, AIA and has worked with many of the same subcontractors for over 20 years. He has successfully completed dozens of projects on time and on budget.

Patrick’s education and experience enable him to combine the rare ability of three dimensional conceptualization with his intimate knowledge of all phases of construction - from excavation through ridge cap. Sweeney Construction is not limited by architectural style, complexity of design or scope of project.  Timelines are established, and clients are kept up to date every step of the way as their vision becomes a reality.  Patrick is a master at discerning critical path items and takes the time to explain the construction process thoroughly anticipating and addressing any areas of concern;  he and his team guarantee a smooth and and safely run project from concept to completion by effectively communicating with owners, architects, trades, suppliers and inspectors.  Patrick is a member of the Home Builders & Remodeling Association of Fairfield County, Inc. (HBRA) and is up-to-date with local, state and federal codes.

A life long boater and active resident, Patrick resides in North Stamford, CT and Cutchogue, NY with his wife, three children, and cat Annie.
